Requesting a Review FAQ

I offer honest reviews in exchange for ARCs or free copies of books. I review books which I’ve purchased with the same honesty that I do for gifted books. Good or bad, after reading reviews here, you’ll know what I really think.

Do you accept copies of books for reviews? 

I have a plethora of books on my TBR list that I still need to read and review, but I do accept books for review in both digital and print formats.

What format of books will you accept?

I prefer holding and feeling a book when I read it, so a paper book is very welcome, but I understand that printed copies are expensive to provide. I also accept EPUB, and PDF, if that is all you have available. Audiobooks are a possibility for me as well.

What genres do you review?

I am a multi-genre author, and likewise a multi-genre reader. Feel free to ask me for any genre from the list of genres I am open to below. I like to be surprised. I usually don’t enjoy literary fiction or self-help books, but I’m not afraid to try anything new!

Can I expect a review on your blog if you accept my book?
I don’t accept every review request that I getI write a review for every book that I accept.

Are you going to be nice in your blog if you dislike the book?

Nope. If I can’t give it at least three quills, I will decline to review it. It doesn’t make me feel good to trash another author’s book, so I just don’t do it.

What’s the best way to contact you?

Do you always respond to requests, even if you’re not interested?

I try to at least acknowledge receipt of every book, but I may not get a chance to evaluate it until it comes up for review. At that time, I will either read and write the review or contact you to decline.

Are you going to write about the book somewhere else?

Yes. I post my reviews on Goodreads, Amazon and Bookbub. I promote my reviews on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest and LinkedIn. These tasks are time consuming and I’m a one woman show, so please be patient.
