Because purple is my favorite color, you’d think I’d have a lot of purple stuff. Oddly enough, I don’t. My Facebook page has bunches of purple images, and my Pintrest account, as well, because I collected purple for a while several years ago. But as far as actual tangible stuff, I really don’t. I was surprised.
The windchime above was made by my daughter especially for me, so it is a custom job. I loved all the purple she put into it and I sleep below it every night. Then, I have my hat collection with a couple of purple hats, and the warm, purple hat was crocheted by my other daughter. I guess they know me pretty good.

Hi Kaye, it’s lovely to see your three purple hats and the handmade purple wind chime. Strangely, purple has never been a colour I’ve favored. I use it more now that I paint.

When I was a teen, I surrounded myself in purple, but as I grew older, I learned the value of more practical colors. Still love purple though. 💜💜💜

Hi Kaye, I love that purple wind chime! Your cowboy hat with purple flowers is lovely. You have lots of pretty purple flowers. My purple morning glory flowers haven’t bloomed yet. My favorite color is pink. I love purple also.

You are so right, Kaye! It’s great to have friends even though we’re far away, probably 3,000 miles. I’ve been feeling like doing some craft things. Maybe I’ll try to make a windchime. Yours gives me plenty of ideas. I have a windchime on my porch that my mother-in-law left when she passed away. She always said that when it tinkled or moved in the wind, that meant an angel or a loved one was thinking of you.

Yes. I inherited my mom’s wind chime collection. Unfortunately, most have broken in the wind. They were so beautiful. The purple one was made by my youngest daughter, so is dear to my heart for that reason, and because it’s purple., 💜💜💜

Thanks for sharing this, Kaye Lynne. Those wind chimes are lovely, and I especially like the hat your daughter knit for you. Although blue is my favorite color, I like pinks and certain shades of yellow, too. I’m curious about Glenwood Springs. When I swam there years ago (shortly after the Dark Horse times), I didn’t see purple (that I can recall anyway). Again, where exactly was it?

They have reconstructed at least three times since then. The pool with the fountain is where the old kiddie pool used to be. I used to swim in that kiddie pool. Now where the deep end was, with the diving board, is now a large hot hot tub. And the diving board is down by the fountain. They also had a big slide on the hill that my kids loved near where the fountain is now that is gone now.
